Project Description
Within the framework of the project "Sonmaz Mashal" Cultural Relations Public Union organized a joint art exhibition of the Azerbaijani and Italian young woman artists in Rome in June 18-22, 2013. The Illustrations to Nizami Ganjavi's poetry by the young Azerbaijani and Italian woman artists were demonstrated in the art exhibition.
The young artists Narmina Valiyeva, Shahla Gahramanli, Gunay Hasanova presented Azerbaijan and Ilaria Rezzi and Martina Donati joined the exhibition from Italy.
The Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Italy Vagif Sadikhov, the members of Azerbaijan Parliament Rafael Huseynov, Azar Karimli and other cultural figures participated in the opening ceremony of the art exhibition.
The Goal of the Project
The goal of the project was to provoke an interest to Nizami Ganjavi heritage in Italy and let the Italian people get more detailed information about Nizami Ganjavi's heroes and universal ideas through the illustrations painted to his poetry.
