Project Description:


An art exhibition covering the paintings of young Azerbaijani female artists Narmina Valiyeva, Shahla Gahramanli and Gunay Hasanova on Karabakh topic was organized at Deakin University in Melbourne. The professors and students of of the university watched with great interest the paintings by name "Karabakh horses", " Mosque of Shusha ", "Longing for Land", " Bridge of Khudafarin ", "Khari Bulbul", "Karabakh Longing in the Eyes", etc of the young artists. Similtaneously, a corner of Azerbaijan was established at Deakin University. The books, brochures and booklets providing detailed information on the history and culture of Azerbaijan, especially Nakorno-Karabakh conflict and Khojali genocide were placed in the corner.

The aim of the project:
The aim of the project is to have an initial step in propagating Azerbaijan in the distant Australia, presenting our contribution in exposing Nakorno-Karabakh truth through displaying the paintings by the young Azerbaijani female artists on Karabakh topic and rich Azerbaijani culture in this country. Establishing a conor of Azerbaijan at the university is aimed at providing the students and professors of Deakin University with detailed information on our country, especially Nakorno-Karabakh conflict and Khojali genocide.
